This was a beautiful team effort with artist Ndigueul MC, sculptor / artist Maaike Wiarda, Jean Diouf and Ndigueul's band; Ngueweul Rythme. When I asked if Ndigueul would play the lead role, they agreed to help me organize and shoot this video (Jerejef!!!!)
SMALL BOATS talks about a young Baye Fall named Lamine (played by Ndigueul Mc) who's friends (played by Ngueweul Rythme's band; Mbaye Fal Samb, Boubacar Ndiaye, Sanque Mbaye, Ismael Sall, Sidy Lam) dream about reaching Europe in a pirogue. He is so connected to them, he too prepares to take the dangerous journey, but in the end decides to stay in Senegal and invest his talents in his home country.
NDIGUEUL Mc is a True Artist. He has incredible charisma, vision, and a compassionate, far-reaching intelligence that sets him apart. I was very very very grateful to work with such extraordinary people. They give me hope for a better future.
JEAN DIOUF (camera) was professional, creative, and extremely well-organized. He has worked with NNR, Ndigueul Mc for many projects and understands what it takes to film successfully in Senegal ... (NOT an easy task). It was a dream working with him. Also Modou Doumoua one of his assistants and the rest of the crew.

C'était un beau travail d'équipe avec l'artiste Ndigueul MC, le sculpteur et l'artiste Maaike Wiarda, Jean Diouf et le groupe d'Ndigueul: Ngueweul Rythme. Nous nous sommes connus et ils ont accepté de m'aider à tourner et organizer la video quand j'ai demandé si Ndigueul accepterait de jouer le rôle principal. (Jerejef!!)
SMALL BOATS parle d'un jeune Baye Fall nommé Lamine (Ndigueul Mc) et dont les amis (jouer par Ngueweul Rythme; Mbaye Fal Samb, Boubacar Ndiaye, Sanque Mbaye, Ismael Sall, Sidy Lam) rêvent de rejoindre l'Europe en pirogue. Il est si proche d'eux qu'il se prépare aussi à effectuer ce voyage dangereux, mais décide finalement de rester au Sénégal pour d'investir ses talents dans son pays d'origine.
NDIGUEUL Mc est un vrai artiste. Il a un charisme incroyable, une vision, et une intelligence compatissante qui lui confèrent une sagesse unique. Parallèlement, rencontrer Maaike fut comme rencontrer une soeur. Elle est aussi une personne étonnante. J'étais très très reconnaissante et honorée de pouvoir collaborer avec eux. Ils me donnent l'espoir d'un avenir meilleur.
JEAN DIOUF (caméra) était professionnel, créatif, et extrêmement bien organisé. Il a travaillé avec NNR, Ndigueul pour beaucoup de projets et sait ce qu'il faut pour filmer avec succès au Sénégal… Ce qui nest pas une moindre tâche... C'était un rêve de travailler avec lui. Voilà aussi son assistant, Modou Doumoua et toute l'équipe.
